Our Camp
Over 50 years ago, John Martin had a dream: to create a place where kids from his local community could come together, have fun, and grow in their faith. His vision led him to Conestogo Lake, where, with the help of volunteers, he cleared five cottage lots and transformed a swampy area into the vibrant and thriving Conestoga Bible Camp (CBC). In the summer of 1972, the first group of campers arrived, excited for an unforgettable experience and the opportunity to hear the life-changing message of Jesus.
Fast forward to today, and that original dream is still alive and thriving! CBC has grown into a registered Canadian Charity, running four two-week day camp sessions and an overnight youth camp each summer. But our impact doesn’t stop there! Throughout the year, we host church and small group retreats in the Fall, Winter, and Spring, and we’ve recently launched a short-term discipleship training program for young adults.
Each summer, we have the privilege of serving over 1,100 campers and staff, with the gospel reaching even more people throughout the year. The ripple effect of what began more than four decades ago continues to touch families, churches, and communities, all to the glory of God. And we’re just getting started—thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us!

What We Believe
We believe that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus came to rescue humanity by living and dying for the world’s sins, and was raised on our behalf. We believe that the scriptures guide us in wisdom about the salvation that comes through faith in Jesus.
