DAY CAMP STAFF
YOUTH CAMP STAFF
Each summer, young people of good character and active faith serve as counsellors at CBC. Many of them are former campers. They spend every day of each session sharing lessons, playing games, leading worship, and hanging out with campers. They agree to live and teach according to our Statement of Faith. Counsellors are also involved with maintenance of camp facilities, preparation for the camp day, as well as Bible studies and discipleship activities to foster spiritual growth.
The application period for Day Camp and Youth Camp staff is now open until January 31, 2017!
What DO CIT's (First-year counsellors) Do?
Of the 80 counsellors at day camp each year, approximately 20 are first-year counsellors, known as counsellors-in-training, or CITs. CITs are generally 'hired' to volunteer for one or two of the two-week sessions of day camp. They will live at camp from Sunday evening to Friday evening of each week they work at camp. CITs will spend every day with campers. During the evenings they will participate in counsellor specific programming. They will be paired with experienced counsellors throughout their session to provide support and encourage growth.
*Note: Applicants for summer 2017 must be born in 2002 or earlier.
