Free Period Activity Choice Information
The free period activity is a 45-minute activity chosen by the camper.
Swimming lessons
We are authorized providers for the Red Cross swim program. All campers who take swimming lessons will be given the chance to complete a level. Because it takes two weeks to complete a level campers will not do any of the other free period activities. This is not free swim time.
Junior campers
The Junior campers have two choices; swimming lessons or junior variety.
Junior Variety
For this age group the campers will do the same activity for only a day or two during the two weeks of camp. The activities can be crafts, boats, games, outdoor cooking, singing, fishing or bug safari.
Senior campers
The Senior campers will do two activities during their time at camp. Free period activity choices are; swimming lessons, crafts, sports, games, archery, outdoor cooking and canoes.
TnT campers
TnT campers will do two activities during their time at camp. Choices are swimming lessons, crafts, sports, archery, outdoor cooking, canoes, kayaks and water skiing.
Only one water sport activity will be given to TnT campers.
Please take note of the following information.
Enrolment in some activities is limited therefore more than first and second choices must be indicated. If a desired activity is full the next available preference will be given. If 3rd and 4th choices are not made we will assign activities if necessary.
Activity selections will be honored on a first come first served basis.
The lake activities require swimming proficiency. A camper will need to pass a basic swimming test in the pool before being able to participate in lake activities. The proficiency test is to swim 4 lengths of the pool and tread water for 3 minutes.
