Midgel's Guide

Hey there Campers!!

I hope you have been having an AWESOME school year so far!! I don’t know about you guys, but I am missing camp like CRAZY!!!

Before I get started, I gotta ask you a question. Have you ever been lost before?
I remember this one time, my family and I were at Disney and my sister and I got lost. I was really scared because Disney’s pretty big and I didn’t know if I would be able to find my parents. Luckily, my dad found my sister and I and all was well :)
But, sometimes I get lost in a different kind of way. I get lost in spirit.

Sometimes I feel really distant from God, and really distant from my faith. I often get stuck and I don’t really know what to do, or where to go. Often when people get lost, they can use a map to help them, but when I'm lost in spirit, I don’t exactly have a map, because I don’t know where I’m supposed to be going.
Jesus is ALWAYS going to seek you out when you're lost.
However, I have a truth of the day (just like we did at camp!) that helps me out a little bit;
Jesus is our guide!

A guide is someone who leads people and points them to the right path, just like Jesus!

When I’m feeling lost and I don’t know where I’m supposed to go, I know I can turn to Jesus and He’s going to help me. Jesus will guide me towards the path that I am supposed to take, and that’s pretty sweet!

When we are feeling lost, and we don’t know where we should be going, we can turn to Jesus, and we can feel safe because He will always direct us to the right path. Jesus will always guide us.

Here’s a verse that can help you to remember:

Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.”

Remember, Jesus is ALWAYS going to seek you out when you’re lost; He’s not going to let you wander. Remember at camp when we talked about Jesus being our Shepard and seeking out His lost sheep? Jesus is always going to find you, and He will always be there to guide you!

I hope you guys have a great rest of the school year and hopefully I’ll see you this summer!
