Chihuahua's Best Friend

Hey guys!

It’s Chihuahua here, hopefully you guys are having some fun right now even though you, and I are in school. I hope you’re enjoying this snowy weather.  I have a truth of the day for you guys, one that I’ve been learning the last 2 months or so and that is: Jesus is a best friend.

At school we have our best friends, and
sometimes we can get into fights and
into arguments, that happens. After you get
in a fight with your friend, you could be upset
with them, but we cannot hold a grudge against
that person forever. This sucks because
sometimes it feels like no one is there for us
when we can’t get along. Though it may feel
like that, that is false.

This happened to me this year when my friends and I got in a fight. It totally felt like I was lonely, which was something I had never really felt in my life prior to that. I was confused on where to go and what to do because I had lost trust with my best friends. So I had to gain trust with God that he was going to help me fix the friendships, which he did.

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13
There was one verse that really stuck out to me; when I read John 15:13 it reminded me what kind of friend Jesus is, he is the total package. He loves me, he cares for me, he laid down his life for me when he didn’t deserve to. What else can you ask from a friend? We get to have the chance to have a relationship with Jesus. This really reminded me that one of my best friends in life can be  Him and showed me what a best friend is. This is what separates Jesus from a normal friend, he is ALWAYS there for us and he has done many incredible things for mankind. Luckily we have the opportunity to talk to the Creator of this universe whenever we want to. He loves us and wants things to go well for us just like a best friend at school. We all have best friends but remember we have one that saved you and I, his name is Jesus.

I’ll want to leave you guys with this poem:

Friends
You gave us friends
So they could be our helping hand
They are with us
But you, you’re with us from beginning to end
You're a never ending friend
You are our ultimate friend
But in the end you died a criminal's death
And with all your breath
You Saved 8 billion from death
No you didn't have to
You chose to
You are my friend, my best friend
His name is Jesus.

I hope to see you at camp next summer! Keep going with school, you’re almost halfway there!
Cheers, Chihuahua
